A Jacquard Woven towel will provide the highest visibility for your Logo on a superior quality product. Jacquard towels have been one of our best sellers for nearly 25 years. We operate four different size looms (16, 24, 34 and 40 inch looms) to give you maximum flexibility and very few restrictions. We can introduce a variety of weaving techniques like (tweeds, sculpting, scrubber and ribbed patterns, shearing and jacquard borders) to name just a few. To understand which techniques and how many colors we can introduce we need to assess your logo.
Jacquard Weaving is a simple automated method of raising and lowering yarn loops on a loom to produce a design. Named after its inventor Joseph Marie Jacquard, a silk weaver from Lyons, this process has remained virtually unchanged for over 200 years.
In any two-colour towel where the background is one colour and the logo a second colour there are very few limitations. Multi-colour towels are more challenging. There are no restrictions on the number of colours we can put into a towel, but there are restrictions on where they can be placed.
Custom Woven Towels are woven in strips called pick lines to interlock the colours. On any one pick line only two colours may appear. These two colours are referred to as loops-up or loops-down to produce the design. In the example above, from the top “loom width” edge to the bottom “loom width” edge only one colour can be selected to be loops-up and the other color becomes the loop-down or background. Additional colours can only be added as shown above on a new pick line. The process is fairly simple if you follow the rule of 2 colors per line. Still not clear… give us a call !
